ABOUT US

Dhakeerath EMHSS is one of the reputed institution in kasaragod district,Kerala.From a humble beginning as a Madrassa   now it has cherished in to a higher secondary school and women's college.The school and college is situated on the banks of Chandragiri river in a calm and serene atmosphere. By road and rail it is easily accessible.The motto and aim of the institution is to impart moral,spiritual  and scientific education to the economically and socially backward sections of kasaragod district.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

The school has been achieving  hundred percentage result for the last 18 years in the SSLC examination conducted by the Kerala Educational  Department.For the last 5 years we have achieved 95-100% result in the higher secondary examination.

SCHOOL ACTIVITIES 

 TEACHERS ENRICHMENT

The school has very  good teaching faculty.Enriching and updating are the main areas,we focus on.The School Resources Group(SRG) is the body which decides the annual academic school calendar.It being convened every month .The school subject council (SSC)is the body which decides the teaching learning activities that should be brought out in the class room .teachers regularly conducted by Educational Department.

CPTA COUNCIL 

The class parents Representative Council discusses the overall academic performance of the school.

EXAMINATION

Though Government recommends three terminal exams,we conduct three more midterm exams,there by ensuring good performance .For ix,x,xi,xii we conduct model examination before annual examination. 

YOUTH FESTIVAL

The school Youth Festival  is a stage to bring outthe hidden talent of our art,music and cultural areas.It begins with the school level competition and ends in the state level competition.Our school level youth festival was conducted in a grand manner for two days giving chance to almost 600 students.The winner were taken to the Sub District Level competition in which nearly 50 students participated.From there 4 students were selected for to the next level ie,District level.Out of which 1 girl got eligibility to participate in the State level were bagged a third with A grade.

SPORTS AND GAMES

The school level Sports and Games was conducted in a befitting manner.About 400 students took part in the last Sports and Games.A colourful display and march-past were an added attraction.We also won some prices in the Sub District level.

SCHOOL LEVEL SCIENCE,SOCIAL ,IT AND WORK EXPERIENCE FESTIVAL

Every year we conduct Science,Social and Work Experience Exhibition in a grand manner.The public is always given an opportunity to watch the programme.Last year some of our students took part in the Sub District level competition and won prizes.

COLLEGE DAY

We celebrated Dhakeerath Women's College Day for 2 days.Most of the girls actively invoved and made it a grand success. 

AWARDS AND PRIZES 

We are the recepients of PM Foundation(Ernakulam) awards for Academic Excellence every Year.It comprises a plaque and cash award.The Yenopaya Foundation (mangalore)also honored us with their awards along with cash prize for academic excellence .The Kasaragod Municipality always honor us for being the toppers in the SSSLC and plus two exam in this Municipal area.Our school also bagged innumerable other local awards.

CLUB ACTIVITIES 

We have various clubs including science,maths,social science and eco clubs.Under their auspices we conduct Quiz program mes,seminars and observed different days.Our students are given prizes according to their performance.
